Tomato Mozzarella Tart

- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1½ cup fresh sliced mozzarella
- 5 cherry tomatoes
- salt and pepper
- fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- Transfer the puff pastry to a buttered non-stick tart pan.Or transfer the puff pastry to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, to obtain a pizza shape.
- Pell the garlic cloves and mince them.In a small bowl, mix minced garlic with olive oil. Brush this mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
- Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and slice the mozzarella.Arrange the thinly sliced tomatoes and mozzarella over the puff pastry, slightly overlapping each slice.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the tart from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
