Strawberry Tiramisu

This recipe adds a burst of freshness to the traditional tiramisu by layering luscious strawberries with velvety mascarpone and delicate ladyfingers.

  • 2 mixing bowls
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 Rubber spatula
  • 1 shallow dish
  • 1 serving dish (or 6 glasses)


Mascarpone cream

  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 8.80 oz mascarpone (250 g)

Strawberry coulis

  • 20 oz fresh strawberries (600 g)


  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 8 oz fresh strawberries (200 g)


  • Prepare the mascarpone cream: in a mixing bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.Gently fold in the softened mascarpone until well combined.
    In a separate mixing bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Use a large rubber spatula to carefully fold the whites into the mascarpone mixture, until smooth.
  • Prepare the strawberry coulis: Mix 8 oz of strawberries to make a coulis, add a little water if the preparation is thick. Pour the mixture in a shallow dish.
  • Prepare the Strawberries: hull and slice the remaining fresh strawberries.
  • Assemble the layers: dip each ladyfinger briefly into the strawberry coulis, ensuring they are soaked but not overly saturated.
    Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of a serving dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, creating an even layer and spread slices of strawberries. Repeat the layers: create another layer with dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture and sliced strawberries.
    Cover and refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.
  • Garnish: garnish with additional sliced strawberries if desired.


  • Ensure the ladyfingers are dipped quickly to maintain a tender texture without becoming overly soggy.
