  • cake mold silicone or classic


  • 8 tbsp honey
  • 7 tbsp butter 3½ oz
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar or white sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp 4 spices*
  • 1 tbsp orange marmelade
  • 1 egg


  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Heat the liquid elements (honey, butter and milk) in a saucepan and set aside off the heat.
  • Mix all the solid elements together (flour, sugar, baking soda, spices).
  • Add the jam to the liquid mixture (off the heat).
  • Pour the liquid mixture (still hot) onto the powder mixture until you obtain a homogeneous paste.
  • Beat the egg and add it to the mixture.
  • Pour into a buttered and floured cake mold.
  • Leave to rest for 1 hour and bake in an oven at 375°F for 45 minutes.


* Description: This is a French spice mixture that consists of white pepper, cloves, ginger & nutmeg.
