  • 1 small saucepan
  • 1 mug


  • 2 cups milk (500 ml)
  • 1 tsp turmeric (ground)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (ground)
  • ½ tsp ginger (ground)
  • 1 pinch black pepper (ground)
  • 1 tbsp honey ( or maple syrup -adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp coconut oil


  • Warm the Milk: in a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium-low heat until it's warm but not boiling.
  • Whisk in Spices: whisk in the ground turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and a pinch of black pepper. The black pepper enhances the bioavailability of curcumin, the active compound in turmeric.
  • Add Sweetener: stir in honey or maple syrup to sweeten the Golden Milk. Adjust the sweetness according to your preference.
  • Optional Addition: for added richness, you can incorporate coconut oil. This add contributes to the creamy texture.
  • Simmer and Blend (Optional): simmer the mixture for a few minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. For an extra smooth texture, you can blend the Golden Milk using an immersion blender.
