Ingredients
  

  • 7 oz chocolate (200 g)
  • oz butter (120 g)
  • ¾ cup all purpose flour (100 g)
  • tsp baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ cup sugar (150 g)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 356°F.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the chocolate and butter using a double boiler (bain-marie). Cut the chocolate and butter into pieces beforehand. Remove from the heat as soon as you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Add the sifted flour and baking powder into the melted chocolate.
  • Separate the whites (in a medium bowl) from the yolks (in a small bowl).
  • Add the sugar to the egg yolks, whisk and add this mixture to the previous mixture (chocolate butter and flour).
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff. Incorporate the whites into the chocolate mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into a springform pan or round cake pan (buttered or covered with baking paper or silicone mold), 24 cm-9inch.
  • Bake the cake for 30 minutes. Prick the cake in the center with the tip of a knife to confirm cooking, it should come out dry.
  • Allow the cake to cool a little bit before unmolding.

Notes

Serve with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.
