  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 flour sifter or fine mesh strainer
  • 1 round cake pan



  • 10 oz frozen berries
  • all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • cup sugar
  • milk (or non-dairy milk)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp melted butter


  • cup melted butter
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg



  • Preheat the oven at 356° F.
  • In a mixing bowl, first mix the eggs and sugar with a whisk.
  • Add milk and butter and mix well.
  • Then, simply add the sifted flour and baking powder and mix.
  • In a buttered round cake pan, pour the preparation and place the red fruits on top.
  • Bake the cake for 20 minutes.


  • While baking, prepare the topping: whisk the egg and sugar. Stir in the melted butter.
  • Pour the mixture on the cake and finish baking it for 20 minutes.
